Explore the Citadel of the Last Dynasty in Hue (B/L)
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up around 08:00–08:30 AM to begin a full-day exploration of Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.
Start with a scenic dragon boat cruise along the Perfume River to visit the peaceful Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most beautiful and iconic pagodas in the country.
Continue to the magnificent Imperial Citadel, the former residence of the Nguyen Dynasty – Vietnam’s last royal dynasty. Explore its historic walls, palaces, and gates while learning about the country’s royal heritage.
Next, visit the Royal Antiques Museum, home to valuable collections from the Nguyen Dynasty, including bronze items, ceramics, royal costumes, musical instruments, and personal belongings of the imperial family.
Proceed to the lively Dong Ba Market, a perfect place to experience local life and shop for souvenirs and cultural gifts. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the impressive royal tombs of Emperor Khai Dinh and Emperor Minh Mang, each showcasing unique architecture and peaceful surrounding landscapes.
On the way back, stop at traditional craft villages to see how Vietnamese conical hats (Non La) are made and observe the production of incense sticks.
Return to your hotel around 04:00–04:30 PM.
