Vietnam Amazing 12 Days – Halong / Sapa/ Hoi An

DAY 1

HANOI ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Check in and take some time to rest after your flight.
Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2

HOA LU & TAM COC – TRAIN TO SAPA (B/L)
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and depart by coach to Hoa Lu (approx. 2.5 hours). Visit the ancient capital of Vietnam and the historic temples of the Le and Dinh dynasties. Continue to Tam Coc for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a sampan boat trip through Tam Coc, where you will admire stunning limestone karsts and explore natural caves carved into the mountains. Afterwards, cycle through peaceful countryside villages, rice fields, rivers, and rocky landscapes in the Tam Coc – Bich Dong area.

Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon. In the evening, transfer to the train station and take a night train to Sapa.

DAY 3

SAPA – Y LINH HO – LAO CHAI – TA VAN (B/L/D)
Upon arrival at Sapa train station, you will be picked up and transferred to Sapa by shared tourist bus. Early check-in is subject to room availability; otherwise, a basic room will be provided for shower and rest.

At around 09:30, begin your trekking adventure. Trek approximately 12 km through stunning landscapes, visiting Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’Mong ethnic group. Enjoy lunch with a local family in Lao Chai or at a small riverside stop.

Continue hiking to Ta Van village, home to the Dzay people, where you will stay overnight in a local homestay. Here, you will experience authentic local life, traditions, and customs.

DAY 4

TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI – SU PAN – SAPA – NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI (B/L)
Breakfast will be served at the homestay around 08:00 AM. Begin trekking at 09:30 AM for approximately 8 km, visiting the villages of Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan, home to the Red Dao and H’Mong ethnic groups.

Along the way, visit a beautiful waterfall and a traditional rattan bridge, and enjoy the stunning landscapes through bamboo forests. Reach the main road where you will take a jeep back to Sapa.

The tour finishes in Sapa around 3:00 PM. Later, transfer by shared tourist bus to Lao Cai Station and take a night train back to Hanoi.

DAY 5

HANOI – HALONG BAY – OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D)
Our driver will pick you up from the train station, check out from the day-use hotel, and enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, your English-speaking guide and driver will transfer you to Halong Bay via the most scenic route, crossing the Red River Delta with endless green rice fields.

Upon arrival, board a traditional junk boat and begin a memorable cruise through Halong Bay’s thousands of limestone islands. Enjoy kayaking on calm waters and admire the stunning seascape of emerald waters and dramatic karst formations.

In the evening, as the boat anchors in a peaceful lagoon and the sun sets, enjoy a delicious seafood dinner and join optional onboard activities.

DAY 6

HALONG BAY – HANOI – FLIGHT TO HOI AN (B/L)
Wake up early and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on board. Join a Tai Chi session on the sundeck and have breakfast while admiring the beautiful scenery of Halong Bay. Continue exploring a stunning limestone cave filled with stalagmites and stalactites.

Afterwards, cruise back to the harbor and return to Hanoi around 4:30 PM. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Hoi An. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

DAY 7

HOI AN ECO TOUR (B/L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Around 08:00 AM, your English-speaking guide will pick you up for a cycling trip through the peaceful countryside and rivers surrounding Hoi An. Along the way, experience the friendliness of local people and the charm of rural life.

Continue with a boat trip on the Hoi An Eco-tour boat, where you will meet local fishermen and experience traditional net fishing techniques. Then enjoy a unique ride in a Vietnamese bamboo basket boat through the coconut palm waterways.

After lunch, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 8

HOI AN LEISURE DAY (B)
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel and spend a full day at leisure in the charming town of Hoi An. This is your perfect opportunity to relax or explore at your own pace. You may wander through the lantern-lit ancient streets, visit local cafés, explore tailor shops, or enjoy the riverside atmosphere. Alternatively, you can relax at the beach or simply unwind at your hotel.

DAY 9

TRAVEL FROM HOI AN TO HO CHI MINH CITY (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, our private driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 10

CU CHI TUNNEL TOUR (B)
You will be picked up by an experienced English-speaking guide and transferred to the Cu Chi Tunnels, located in the countryside near Ho Chi Minh City (approx. 1.5 hours drive). This historic underground network was developed by local residents during the war and once stretched all the way to Cambodia, featuring meeting rooms, kitchens, and medical areas.

Gain a deeper understanding of the resilience and spirit of the Vietnamese people as you explore this remarkable tunnel system, where life and survival took place underground under extremely difficult conditions.

After the visit, enjoy tasting cassava (manioc), a staple food used by guerrilla fighters during the war. You may also have the option to try shooting at a nearby range (optional). Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 11

MEKONG DELTA TOUR (B/L)
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then depart for a full-day excursion to the Mekong Delta. You will be welcomed by an experienced English-speaking guide and driver for the journey to My Tho, located on the left bank of the Mekong River.

Upon arrival, board a sampan boat and cruise along the river to explore the famous four islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. Stop at Unicorn Island to walk along rural paths, visit fruit orchards, and enjoy tropical fruits while listening to traditional folk music performed by local people.

Continue with a hand-rowed sampan ride through the Thoi Son canal, surrounded by peaceful countryside scenery. Visit local workshops, a honey bee farm, and enjoy honey tea and coconut candies.

Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch before cycling around Tan Thach village, where you can observe local daily life and interact with friendly villagers. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 12

HO CHI MINH CITY DEPARTURE (B)
Enjoy your free time at leisure until your scheduled transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight. Say goodbye and end of services.
